After staying here from early January through the end of April 2026 for work, I knew the staff and they knew me. I was in town for a four-month project, spending three weeks a month at the hotel and only four days at home. There isn't much to do in Vinita, and the Walmart Supercenter next to the parking lot is the main shopping option. Since I was away so much, I tried to make the room feel like home and brought my own bedding, towels, soaps, trash bags, air freshener and pillows. I also handled my own trash. The room wasn't hard to clean, but when housekeeping did come in, the work felt rushed and incomplete. I work overnight shifts and sleep during the day, yet staff kept knocking and trying to enter even when I had the “I'm not ready” sign out. The last straw came one Saturday after I returned from Walmart with a cart full of water, food and other essentials. I realized my room key was in my car and asked the housekeeper working in the room next door to let me in. She had cleaned my room the day before, so she knew it was mine, and I'd stayed here for months. I only wanted to put my shopping inside, then go back for the key and the rest of my things. She wouldn't let me in. If there were another hotel in Vinita, OK, I would have left.

I wouldn't stay at this motel. The manager accuses guests of smoking in their rooms and keeps their $150 deposit. From what I've heard, this has happened repeatedly, with the hotel trying to see what it can get away with next.

I stay in hotels all year for work, more than 350 nights annually, and this was the worst-run one I've encountered. I had multiple problems here. Staff came into my room without knocking or announcing themselves while I was naked and getting into the shower. Another time they opened the latched door to yell at me to wake up for cleaning. They'd also bang on the door while I was asleep like cops with a warrant. I bring my own bedding and towels because of skin issues, and use my own detergent. I explained that I didn't need replacements. Before leaving, I took detailed videos because I expected trouble. They said I'd stained their bedding and kept my $150 deposit. In all my years staying in hotels, I've never had another issue like this. Avoid this place unless you're okay with being woken up, having housekeeping walk in unannounced, and losing your deposit.

I just needed a few hours of sleep on a quick stop. The bed was comfortable, the shower got hot, and the food was good. It didn't feel as cozy as a typical IHG hotel, though I could see they'd worked on bringing it closer to IHG standards. Can't ask for much more.

The desk clerk was really helpful, and the room was nice. The mattress felt a bit firmer than I'm used to, but it was still fine.
