Breakfast didn't help my mood at all. The food's flavor and texture couldn't be fixed with salt, pepper, or anything else, so I skipped breakfast for the whole stay. I also got attitude at the front desk over valet service. The valet drivers were the only part of Hyatt Place I found quick and convenient. I'd paid for an ocean view but was given a city view, and the room was much smaller than the one I'd chosen, cramped enough that it felt like a tripping hazard. I arrived late and exhausted, so I tried to put up with it. Then false fire alarms blared and woke me after only two hours of sleep. I spent most of my time outside because I was so disappointed. The high rating and reviews didn't match my experience. I could have spent much less at a lower-rated hotel and had a better stay. I left as early as I could.

The valet team made every arrival and departure easy. They were welcoming and efficient, and every staff member I met was friendly, professional, and ready to help. My room was clean and comfortable, and the whole stay at Hyatt Place Oceanfront Virginia Beach was amazing. It's rare for every part of a hotel stay to exceed expectations like that. I highly recommend it and will definitely return!

The shower was the best, with amazing water pressure. The one letdown was breakfast, which was bland and didn't offer many choices. I tried to add a night, but they were fully booked, which says something about the place. For Spring Break we drove about four hours to Virginia Beach for the oceanfront stay I'd wanted for a long time. It wasn't comparable to Jamaica 🤗, but booking Hyatt Place Virginia Beach Oceanfront gave us that beachside experience without flying. From check-in on Sunday, March 29, things went smoothly. The front desk associate welcomed us, checked us in quickly, and put us on the 12th floor with a beautiful oceanfront view. The building was clean and relaxing, and the staff kept going above and beyond. We saw Samantha at the desk every day, and she was always warm and accommodating. Susan was great too, and the whole team, including valet, made us feel at home. I loved the stay and can't wait to come back.

Valencia from the cleaning service kept my room spotless and well organized throughout my stay. She was friendly and professional, and what stood out was that she came over herself to ask if I needed anything. That showed real care and made me more comfortable. I was upgraded to the top floor and had a fantastic oceanfront view. The hotel is clean and modern, right on the ocean, with EV charging, free breakfast, and a lobby bar. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Paul, who runs the valet service and went out of his way to help me. I'm grateful and would stay here again.
