SureStay Hotel by Best Western Virginia Beach Royal Clipper

The staff made this stay feel like being part of a family. Josa at the front desk was wonderful, and the Manager was kind and respectful. Both went above and beyond. I travel a lot in the US and this was honestly my best hotel experience. The area felt safe, and the beach was about a two-minute walk away. My room was spacious and very clean, with a fresh-air feeling as soon as I walked in. I notice every detail and have zero complaints. My son and I were there for the Nas Oceana Air Show, and even with the hotel fully booked, it was quiet and relaxing. We could see the ocean from our room, and the jets, including the Blue Angels, flew right over the hotel. We’re grateful and will definitely stay longer than four nights next year for the Air Show, maybe even return sooner. Great service, caring staff, a safe and clean room, short beach walk, good price, free breakfast, and on-site parking. I highly recommend SureStay by Best Western Royal Clipper to anyone staying at Virginia Beach. Thank you!

We’ll definitely return. The hotel was amazing, with very clean rooms and a quiet, pleasant atmosphere. We ended up here after a terrible experience at our first hotel while in town for my brother’s memorial service. The people in the office comforted me in ways I can’t describe, and it turned out they came from the same area I’d just moved from. It felt like this was where we were meant to stay all along.

The people here made my end-of-summer stay peaceful, happy, and safe, which matters a lot when you’re traveling alone as a woman. Brian, the manager, felt like a favorite uncle when we met and talked. Ms. Josa, the assistant manager, is a sweetheart and the kind of friend anyone would be lucky to meet. The breakfast manager greeted me warmly each morning, and the continental breakfast was fresh and tasty, especially the bagels, fruit, and homemade waffles. The housekeeper was key to my great stay: she cleaned and sanitized impeccably, and whenever she saw me, she offered extra towels and brought them without me having to ask. That’s customer service. This Best Western is quaint rather than a big, fancy skyscraper, and its old-fashioned charm reminded me of what my daddy would have loved. The staff make you feel like a person, not a number, a nuisance, or an annoying tourist, and the price is hard to beat for the location. A great room if you show up without a reservation. It’s cheap and not nasty. The only downside is that my room had 10 safes. Not sure why, I don’t have that many valuables with me.
