Midway Motel

The room smelled like marijuana off and on during our one-night stay, and we cut the visit short. The worst part, though, was how the owner treated me. There’d been a misunderstanding about our cat, and I understand being upset about that. But he berated me while I was holding my baby and trying to check out. He hadn’t spoken to me before, and he interrupted me, talked down to me, and kept repeating himself while yelling at a woman alone with a baby. He didn’t act that way with my fiancé, who made the reservation. Our cat caused no damage. After work, my fiancé went back to ask for a refund for the nights we didn’t stay, but the owner tried to charge an extra night for the cat. The policy says approved pets are $10 and unapproved pets are $50.

A good spot if you're coming to snowmobile, with the trail right out back and a family restaurant next door. The owner was polite and accommodating. Our room was comfortable and reasonably priced, with nice beds and a new-looking carpet. The bathroom was dated, but clean, and the rest of the room was in good shape.

The heater was warm and very quiet, and the fridge got very cold and worked nicely. The sheets and beds were clean, and the place seems well maintained. The owner said they change the sheets every three months. Friendly service, clean rooms, and a great value. I'd highly recommend it to visitors.

They went the extra mile to arrange a special check-in for me. The staff were very nice, the room was clean, and everything worked well. Coming back to the AC on a hot day was great. The king-size bed was comfy, and there was even a cot already set up in a small back room. Wi-Fi was solid, with two routers serving the long motel. Great deal!
