Sequoia Village has been such a blessing to me. I’m truly grateful, and I’ll never take it for granted. Thank you, Lord, and Navagtion, for being there when I needed you most 💜💙🩵💚💛🧡❤️

Several of us are now facing eviction because no money is coming in. The place is infested with roaches, and there are homeless people here. I’ve been stolen from countless times. Management and case workers are supposed to help with appointments for mental health, housing, Social Security disability, DES, and food. Staff are also supposed to help people move toward housing and income, budgeting and savings, and more. They do nothing.

I didn’t stay here. The rooms were nasty and smelly, and the place was very old and outdated. They charged $112 a night plus a $200 cash deposit, but I got my money back and went to Motel 6 instead. Surprisingly, it was an upgrade: less expensive, modern, clean rooms. The guy working the window at the Sequoia Lodge was very rude and seemed prejudiced. Never again. If you want a clean motel, don’t go here.

The room was nice, and the towels and linen smelled clean. The cable TV picture was snowy. My family and I are staying here during the COVID-19 phase 2 reopening, but none of the amenities were available, including continental breakfast. We chose this lodging specifically for the pool and free breakfast, and neither was open because of “COVID-19.” Check before booking, since I don’t think they’re updating their information to reflect which amenities are currently available.

The room had what I needed, and the furniture was in decent shape for the price. But my “room with a view” looked out over the parking lot, which was fine, just not really a view. Breakfast was pretty bad, and the Wi-Fi was slow. After 10 a.m. there was no way to get hot water except using the microwave.
