Wachapreague Inn

This is my happy place. I plan my yearly drive to and from Georgia around staying here. The rooms are spotless and cozy, the staff are so welcoming, and the setting is peaceful and picturesque. I absolutely love it.

A Happy Birthday sandwich board outside was a lovely surprise for my husband’s birthday. Amanda even took our picture by it. Everyone treated us like family, and the room was fun and clean. It’s across the street from one of our favorite seafood spots, the Island House. We couldn’t have had a nicer stay and would return in a heartbeat.

The town is a big part of the appeal, with the cute homes and fantastic bay views you’d expect on the eastern shore. As a photographer, I got some amazing shots. It’s not quite frozen in time, but visiting does take you to another time and place. We loved the quaint, nostalgic feel, and our room was clean and orderly. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating.

The Island House Restaurant is right across the street, and the friendly, knowledgeable staff at the office were a pleasure. This is an older motel, so it has the standard features from when it was built: no large rooms, suites, or loveseats. Still, it’s clean and functional, with a comfortable night’s rest by the sea. It’s the only motel in Wachapreague. Recommended.
