I had a late check-in, and they were really helpful about working with me. The room was a pleasant surprise, nicely updated, and I liked the soap dispensers instead of all those wasteful little disposables. I could hear what seemed like a lot of trains, though it wasn't too bad and there were no horns. I'd stay again :)

The owners were both very nice, and the rooms were tidy. The bathroom looked modern and recently updated. After we'd left, I thought I'd forgotten my sunglasses, so I called and left a message. They got back to me quickly and checked the room too. I'll stay here again.

The woman was really, really nice. We looked at the room first, which we hadn't done in years, but we were desperate and stayed anyway. My wife said it brought back memories of the Bates Motel. Still, it was clean, with new plumbing and a new TV. If you're not too fussy, you could do worse.

Everyone on staff treated us so well, and the room was clean with a lovely cabin feel. We even saw deer out back every night. My friend and I had a wonderful two-night stay. I'll come back for longer next time and would recommend this motel to anyone.

This was our second stay, and we'll keep choosing Brookside when we come to visit family in Wadena, Minnesota. The owner was very pleasant and accommodating, and the cozy, clean rooms had everything we needed to be comfortable at this roadside motel.
