Haleakala Shores B-407 by Vacation Rental Pros

We stayed in a two-bedroom, two-bath unit that was laid out well for a vacation, with a good-sized balcony and table and chairs. It’s a quiet family complex in a peaceful neighborhood, not a party resort, and the pool and barbecue area have tables. There’s a lovely beach a block away, plus Makena Landing and other popular snorkeling reefs nearby. I’d stay again. We had a great time.

We love it here. The grounds are so well cared for, and it’s clean, comfortable, and quiet. It feels like our home away from home.

The fifth-floor unit gets hot in the afternoons, though it has window air conditioners, which seems typical for islands where air conditioning is available. The recycling centers could be better, though I don’t have anything local to compare them with. We were probably the noisiest part of the complex, thanks to our tantrumy child and jetlagged baby. It’s a calm place, close to the beach across the street, and restaurants and a natural foods store are walkable on pedestrian-friendly sidewalks. We rented a car to explore the island, but could easily have stayed nearby for a sun-and-sand trip. We’d stay again.

Quiet, low-key place, and the beach is just a minute away. Everything’s well maintained.
