Ho'olei #81-5 by Ali'i Resorts

A great unit with lovely views, and a comfortable place to get away from the busy main resort.

We had a beautiful villa, 75-3, but the master bed mattress was very old and uncomfortable. Pool and restaurant service were great. On our last full day, my niece left her necklace on the dresser for the first time all trip while she went to tan by the pool. We returned early that afternoon after housekeeping had been in, and it was gone. We’d seen the housekeepers still on the property, so I called the desk right away, hoping it might have been caught in a towel and could be found before laundry. The desk had been responsive until then. They said they’d call back, but didn’t, and never contacted housekeeping. After more calls, they sent someone from “security” with an insurance claim form, who said he had no way to reach housekeeping. Nobody from the hotel has contacted us or responded since. The necklace was from Tiffany’s and a recent graduation gift, but the insurance eventually denied her claim. The hotel’s response left us feeling that housekeepers have no reason to stop stealing because the hotel doesn’t care. We had a great trip otherwise, but we’ll NEVER return to Grand Wailea.

We were seven and never felt crowded in the spacious villa, which had everything we needed to feel at home. It was beautiful, and service and housekeeping came every day. Customer service was outstanding. Since we booked through the grand to stay at the villas, we could use the grand property, pools, and restaurants. I’d definitely like to come back.

The poolside massage cabana is not to be missed. Music fans and waterfalls help you settle into a zenith state while the state’s best therapists work out every little kink.
