The room was clean and roomy, and the beach was lovely with fewer people around than elsewhere. I liked the path toward the bird sanctuary, where we spotted turtles near the boat launch. The spot is quieter than central Kihei and closer to Makenna beach. Parking was free, though the spaces are TIGHT. The bed was awful and seemed to move every time we took a breath. Tree trimming started noisily at 7am. It was interesting to watch, but waiting until 8, as guests are asked to do, would have been better.

The restaurant wasn't ready during our visit, so we took a nice walk along the beach to find places to eat. We loved our stay and plan to come back. Our room looked out over both the beach and pool, and the service was great. It was handy to have rentals, a store, and a place to book excursions on site. Tracy is the best!

For $350 a day in Maui, a roomy place with an oceanfront view and a very large balcony felt like a fair deal. The room looks modern, and there’s a small general store for coffee, drinks, and hot food, plus a rental shop for snorkeling, surfing, and other activities. The coffee maker in the room was in bad shape, though.

We loved staying in unit 801A. Its position near the ocean and high up in the building gave us what may be the best view there. The unit matched the photos, with smart decor and modern appliances. We could fall asleep to the ocean each night through the big sliding glass doors and screen. The location made it easy to explore Kihei and nearby Wailea, and to reach the beach path for walks or runs along the water. The ocean is right behind the building, and the warm pool had plenty of loungers and umbrellas. The fitness room in the basement was popular and had a range of working equipment and weights. The basement corridor itself felt off-putting, mostly unfinished, with storage rooms and items scattered about. There was also a book library by the elevators. Staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. We rented SUPs from the water sports shop on site and had a great time on the water. The 808 store was useful for snacks and drinks.

There’s a sandy beach right by Mana Kai, along with a nice-sized pool. The 808 store sells food and drinks, and the rental shop has what you need for a beach vacation. It’s a great place to stay, and I’d happily come back.
