We came to swim in the pool, not the ocean. We're older and have bad knees, and the pool stayed cold for all seven days. It was in the 70s, even though the weather and humidity were sweltering. The manager said the Association would raise it to 81 degrees, but that never happened while we were there. I asked for the Association's contact information three days in a row and never got it. After three days, she texted that the pool was the Association's responsibility. If neither she nor Coldwell Banker had control of it, I couldn't understand why she wouldn't share their contact details. I also wasn't sure she had contacted them at all. The property managers must have a close business relationship with the Association and know who to reach, so blaming them for the cold pool didn't seem credible. With solar panels and the amount we paid, we expected to be able to use a heated pool. This was our fourth weeklong stay here in 15 years. The area is gorgeous, and the unit was clean, with lovely views of the grounds and ocean. But prices have gone way up, even with lots of vacancies. The west-facing lanai got very hot because the sun screen was broken, and it took three days to put it back up. The living room curtains were tattered and torn. We had a two-bedroom, two-bath condo, and the manager agreed to put the two twin beds together with a pad for our elderly friends. When we arrived, the pad was still boxed on a chair. We took photos of it and the screen and curtains, but no one came to set up the bed. We couldn't take the bed apart and remake it ourselves. The old wall AC units took ages to cool the rooms. We turned them off whenever we left, as the manager requested. The slow replies were disappointing too. The manager was an unnamed woman from Coldwell Banker.

We loved the verandah, and the location made it easy to reach food, activities, and the beach. There's a great market nearby, so we used the kitchen and ate breakfast at home. The room was well equipped for four people, though Uber drivers had some trouble finding us, a minor hassle. The place was hard to cool because the AC wasn't on when we arrived. Each of the three TVs had different channels, but having one in each bedroom and the living area was nice. I gave service a low mark because we never spoke directly with anyone.

For more room than a hotel while keeping a great Wailea location, Ekolu Village is a good find. The spacious rooms have a nice kitchen and a deck where we could watch the sunset each night. My kids especially liked the pool, which is a good size and has an 8-foot deep end.

The balcony view was fantastic, and I spent hours whale watching from there. Unit 504 in Wailea Ekolu Village had just been renovated and was tastefully decorated, with everything we needed. It was our first stay there, and those amazingly comfortable beds alone would bring me back. We'll be back!

This is great value for a big family. Our condo was spotless and easily fit six adults. It's in a premium location, less than 10 minutes from shops, restaurants, and beautiful beaches. The pool area is a nice place to take a break from the beach. I'd give it six stars if I could.
