The Inn At Abeja

We brought our little dogs, Pinot and Tagge, and they had a great vacation too. The 38-acre estate and the countryside around it are beautiful, and the whole winery with cottages is a lot of fun. Chef Jake’s food was delicious, the staff were gracious and friendly, and Inn Manager Sierra kept track of every detail to make the stay enjoyable. The wine was delicious as well. Go for a fantastic getaway.

The earliest room-delivered breakfast was 8:30am, which is late for us, though it was a minor drawback. We loved the Chicken Coop, including its well-equipped kitchen. I even made shrimp Alfredo one evening. The grounds were quiet and interesting, with lots of space despite the COVID rules still in place in town and on the property during our first week of May 2021 stay. We walked among the grapevines just starting to leaf out, then relaxed in the hammock by the little stream behind the property, down the hill. The private tasting was enjoyable too, and the host answered all my questions about the wines and how they’re made. Walla Walla itself was pleasant and easy to explore on foot, with tons of tasting rooms, but I’d expected the town to feel more upscale. It’s a regional hub with all the usual bits and pieces. The inn is a great place, not far from town, and the accommodations were spot on.

The grounds were peaceful and beautiful, and the staff were such nice people who went out of their way to help. We celebrated a birthday with two nights at the Inn at Abeja and it was dreamy. The Carriage House Suite had two bedrooms, each with a king bed and private bath, plus a living room, kitchen, and outdoor patio. It was gorgeous, very clean, comfortable, and nicely equipped, with great bath amenities. Breakfast was tasty and complimentary, delivered to the room each morning, and they accommodated my dietary restrictions. We also had outdoor games, wine on arrival, and a complimentary tasting of Abeja’s wine. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting a magical Walla Walla stay, and we’ll definitely return.

We had in-room massages and enjoyed the little extras they include. The breakfasts and staff were wonderful, and there’s great biking nearby. Downtown and some fun tastings are close enough to reach by bike. It’s a stunning, private place, as romantic as you want it to be, and one of the best places we’ve stayed.
