Comfort Inn & Suites Waller

I was there on business, and the time I spent in the room wasn't worth what I paid. I was too busy to keep chasing hotel staff for help, especially when they could have contacted me by cell. I left my number at the front desk as an alternative to calling the room. The fourth-floor hallway and my room smelled strongly of urine. I reported it to the manager and was offered Febreeze to spray in the room. They said the hotel was full and couldn't move me, and there was no refund offered so I could go elsewhere, even though I'd already paid over $400. Management gave me no remedy. The free guest Wi-Fi also wouldn't connect at all during my stay. I won't recommend this hotel or stay again. In the response, the details about room availability suggest staff weren't honest when they said they couldn't move me. If rooms were available, why wasn't one offered, especially when we came down on two consecutive days to get sanitizing spray? You called the room once, but didn't follow up with an unhappy guest, despite having my cell number. Thank you for not denying the smell. Why wasn't anything done? Other families in the lobby complained about it too. One person said they had breathing problems and couldn't remain in the room. There was a visible urine stain on the carpet just off the elevator, and staff saw it and remarked on the strong smell. So you acknowledge the odor and that no one followed up. My point is proven. Please do better.

We booked several rooms for a team competition, but there wasn't enough breakfast for everyone. One non-smoking room smelled so strongly of smoke that we had to move to a smaller one. A floor also smelled possibly of urine. When I asked the front desk for wake-up calls for all the rooms, they seemed indifferent. I worried they wouldn't call, and they didn't, so I had to wake everyone myself.

The rooms were nasty, with one smelling strongly of urine, mold, and no air circulation. We arrived to a stale-smelling room, left, then came back that afternoon to find the TV wasn't working. They moved us, but there was a man in the next room they assigned. The following room smelled badly of urine and had mold. When I asked the woman whether she'd take something off the bill for the trouble, she said no, that I had checked in and it was my problem. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone.

Anna at the front desk is so friendly, helpful, and nice. The rooms are clean and quiet, and you'll get a good night's rest. I'd highly recommend staying here when you're in town.
