I.B. Munson House

Gloria, Stephen and Dylan made our wedding weekend feel easy and special. They even welcomed our photographer and family as they came and went throughout the weekend, which meant a lot to us. The rooms were beautiful, the food was delicious, and the company was lovely. Our stay at the I.B Munson House was romantic, relaxing, and had everything we needed. We can’t thank you enough!

The one small drawback was the shower pressure, which could be stronger, though it hardly affected our stay. We arrived late for Friday check-in, and the owners were still there to greet us and show us around. The house is gorgeous, renovated, spotless, and full of charm. Our room matched the rest of the place, and the mattress was especially comfortable. Breakfast was homemade and really tasty. We were the only guests that weekend, though I think we would have enjoyed it just as much with others around. There are lots of thoughtful touches, including drinks, a fridge for our things, and access to the common spaces. We had a bottle of wine by the living room fireplace, and they had a corkscrew available. We’ll definitely come back and tell our friends.

With antique furnishings in the cozy rooms and homemade breakfast each day, the IB Munson House felt like a standout place to stay. Gloria and Stephen, along with their handsome pup, Dylan, were wonderful hosts. This historic Vermont stop is tucked among some of the East Coast’s best ski mountains. It was only open one weekend a month when I visited in February 2017, so check that before planning a stop. I’m looking forward to visiting again.

A beautifully kept historic house, thoughtfully designed and run by a husband-and-wife team. A lovely place to stay as a bed and breakfast.
