The setting made for such a peaceful weekend away from all the noise. We had a problem with the hot tub, but it was sorted out right away, and the winery was top notch. Really enjoyed staying at Bear Creek and would absolutely come back. I'd recommend it to anyone.

The hot tub was nice, but that's about the standout. We stayed in the small cabin, and on Saturday evening restaurant guests were gathered all around it. Parking also gets dicey on Friday and Saturday nights. The rooms feel like an afterthought beside the beer and wine business. The paper towel setup is a bit silly, and they left us just one trash bag even though guests have to take their garbage out. Breakfast choices were weak and felt lazy. It's just okay, nothing special, and better value is available elsewhere.

For what you get, this place is far too expensive, and I wouldn't go back or recommend it. The buildings are old and very outdated, and parking near the cabin is quite limited. After check-in, things seemed fine until we got ice for our water and found a hair frozen in it. There was also long hair in the bed, and it looked like the sheets hadn't been changed since the previous visit. We knew we'd need to wash our dishes, as we do wherever we stay, but there was only one hand towel and no paper towels despite the cabin having a small full kitchen. The welcome booklet said to ask at the winery if we needed anything. When I asked the woman behind the counter for paper towels, she said hot tub chemicals cost so much, with so much chlorine that we couldn't even use it, that they had to cut costs and figured guests could bring or buy those things. I also asked for another hand towel and was told no. It was a horrible choice for a getaway, especially at that price.

We were just outside Branson in a quiet, beautiful and peaceful spot. Our Pinecone cabin was comfortable and clean, and having a hot tub on the balcony was lovely. Rebecca and the staff gave us suggestions for things to do and places to eat, and they turned out perfectly. Bear Creek Lodge was just right for us, and I'd highly recommend it.

We came for the bed and breakfast, but the breakfast was almost nonexistent. At the lodge there were a few bottles of orange juice, bottled water, a plate of chocolate cake, and some stale cinnamon rolls in a nearly empty fridge. The man at the counter pointed them out and said to help ourselves. For that alone, anyone looking for a B&B should look elsewhere. The cabins are lovely, but for hospitality and food, find somewhere else. The setting does have a lot of charm. The cabins and grounds are beautiful, the short walking paths are lovely, and the buildings have a simpler-days feel. The lodge is hard to find, especially at night, and GPS kept getting confused and recalculating. The owner, the country woman shown in the video, came across as irritable, unfriendly, and unhelpful. A staff member had to step in, finish our check-in, and apologize for her. Nice cabins and a great start-up story, but there were some significant disappointments.
