Disney's Old Key West Resort

Disney’s Oak Key West is one of our favorite DVC properties. We had six people in a comfortable two-bedroom setup, made by joining a one-bedroom and a studio. Having a washer and dryer was handy for getting laundry done when needed. The property is older, but that seems to be from the days when they built the rooms with more space.

We were close to the main building this time, while on our last visit we were about as far away from it as possible. Where you stay at Key West matters if you rely on quick service, mug refills, and community events. We like those things, so the distance made a difference for us. If you spend all your time in your room and don't need those services, the location may not matter as much. The quick-service menu is very limited, but the food is good. Our room was spacious, and the family was comfortable.

The kids' favorite part was the waterslide, and the bus rides to and from the parks were fairly short. The rooms are the biggest on Disney property, and the front desk employees were kind and helpful. We loved our first stay and will definitely come back next time we're at Disney.

We stayed for eight days. The room got a full cleaning twice, and the garbage and recycling were taken care of daily. The resort is beautiful, the staff were kind, and it's close to Disney Springs and all the other resorts. I'd highly recommend it.
