We stayed two nights in early November, and I'm a bit late getting this written. The room was on the top floor of this newer hotel, so everything seemed quite new. It was spacious and comfortable, and the little kitchen worked fine for a few days. We didn't cook, and there are several restaurants nearby. The staff were friendly, and being able to do laundry before the next leg of our trip was handy. For a quieter stay, I'd ask for a top-floor room at the back, looking toward the cranberry bogs. The front faces the parking lot and a busy road, and we could hear some traffic at night. One staff member even came out to the parking lot as we were loading the car to return a shirt the maid had found in our room. She'd told the desk clerk I was wearing a pink hat so they could spot me. It was very nice of them to catch me before we left.

The pool was closed for our entire stay, and no one communicated any updates. We also had to leave early because of unsafe travel conditions, but the hotel refused to refund the unused night. They said we'd “taken our chances” by booking a lower rate through Hotels.com, which felt unacceptable and unprofessional. Customer service was lacking, and for what I paid, I expected more comfort and professionalism. I was disappointed and won't recommend this hotel. I'll choose somewhere else next time.

The location worked well for getting to the places we wanted to visit, and the 99 Restaurant right across from the hotel was an especially convenient find. Its staff were personable and professional, the portions were filling even for a big eater like me, and we left feeling we'd made a new friend. I only wish we'd discovered it sooner. There are other restaurants across the road that we didn't get to try, so that's a reason to visit again. We went looking for Royal II Pizzeria, Anytime Fitness in Carver, MA and Mashpee, MA, and Jim’s Organic Coffee, and came across Blue Foot Coffee, Fieldstone Market, Shaw’s Supermarket, and the 99 Restaurant too. Traffic was different from what I'm used to, so we followed the posted speed limits and planned our outings. Thank goodness for GPS. I remember using road maps, oops, showing my age, LOL. The room was cozy and homey, with furniture sized to fit. The bed was super comfortable, storage was sufficient, and the refrigerator was just right. We did feel hesitant when we realized there was no oven, but the hot plate worked well, and we used it every day. The room's special request hadn't been noted with the reservation, but the staff handled things thoroughly and professionally after I called the front desk. The entry felt secure, with a peephole and an extra inside latch. The bathroom was spacious, though a handheld shower head would be useful. The LG TV looked modern, but Pluto TV was the only free channel option. Netflix and YouTube required login details, and we didn't want the hassle of changing passwords, so we stuck with Pluto TV. The buffet breakfast had enough choices, and the seating area was spacious with a view of a farming field. The fitness room had a lot of the equipment we like, including a kettlebell, yoga ball, treadmill, and Life Fitness elliptical trainer, plus a water dispenser and TV. I'd add a recumbent bike. On the first day, the receptionist was helpful when our room wasn't ready. I was prepared to wait, but they checked other available rooms and got us in before the scheduled check-in time. The mobile room entry through the hotel Marriot BONVOY App was the downside. The receptionist didn't know how to operate it, and the App's instructions weren't clear or foolproof.

The room was laid out thoughtfully, so even reaching the toilet paper was easy. The bed and pillows were comfortable. A previous guest had dropped a bar of soap in the toilet and clogged it, but maintenance sent someone up right away to fix it. I'd stay here again if I'm in the area.

It was close to our route, but the room was tiny, run down, and smelled awful. The bathroom sink was clogged too. My husband had booked at the government rate, but the front desk challenged him because he didn't have “orders.” Civilian government employees don't carry orders, and the clerk was quite rude about it. Breakfast came with vouchers limited to certain hot or cold items. We only got one since just one of us had government ID. This wasn't the quality we usually expect from a Marriott.
