The rooms were clean, and the towels and washcloths were fresh. Breakfast was complimentary, with juice, coffee, milk, eggs, sausage, bacon, pancakes, and bagels, and the food was good. It’s a clean place to stay, but I was hoping for a hot tub and couldn’t use one. There’s only one in the whole building, it was out of order, and it’s designated for handicapped guests.

I paid over $140.00 for a room that shouldn’t have been rented in that condition. There were roaches, cigarette smoke, a broken air conditioner, and only four working TV channels. The room smelled of smoke as soon as I opened the door, even though I’d requested a smoke free room because my sister has a respiratory illness. I went to the office within five minutes to report the bugs and smoke, and ask if they could get maintenance for the air. They wouldn’t move us or offer a smoke free room, a working AC, or even a fan to circulate the air for my sister. They also refused a refund. Check-in took 23 minutes because the woman in the office wouldn’t register us, and she wasn’t friendly. They advertised a smoke free environment and buffet breakfast, but from 6 to 9:30 am I found only fruit and bread, no creamer, and no caffeine free coffee. I’ll never recommend this hotel. I called five times between 8 am and 4 pm asking for a supervisor and never got to speak with one. I believe the Better Business Bureau and health department should be notified. How many other guests have paid for a room and services the hotel couldn’t provide? The staff and supervisors should be overseeing maintenance, pest control, and customer service training. I hope the hotel reviews these ratings and makes the needed improvements. Please read the other reviews too. The management replies by denying that the reviewer stayed there and claiming there’s no record of the complaint. They can’t know whether the room was booked under a spouse or family member’s name. They also don’t apologize or say they offered a properly maintained room. Instead, they deny the complaint and refuse a refund. They should at least apologize for the awful conditions. Be responsible. Without customers, you couldn’t afford to run the business.

The night auditor is no help. If breakfast starts after people have left, I hope the food inventory is still right. Why can’t I take some cereal or toast with me when I leave before 5:30? They call it free breakfast, but there’s nothing to grab that early.

Even though I don’t like staying out of town, I’m glad I can count on friendly staff and clean, comfortable rooms here. I stay often for work, and every visit has been good, both for the room quality and cleanliness and for the service. My coworkers and I request this hotel for work projects, even when it adds a lot of time to our commute.
