The rooms are basic, and the microwave is out in the hallway. Still, they were clean when I stayed, and the rates are cheap, so I wasn't expecting anything like the Four Seasons. I had to revise my review because the front desk person I dealt with before, who was extremely unprofessional, seems to be gone. Debby was friendly and easy to talk to.

The amenities were all right, but I’m embarrassed I stayed here. After a supposed computer glitch, my room was cleaned and a substantial amount of cash went missing. Police came and opened an investigation. Three weeks later they closed it for lack of evidence: there were no hallway cameras near my room, and staff weren't available to interview. Then, three months after the incident, my card was charged $300. When I called to ask why, nobody helped, and my bank wouldn't refund me unless American Motel reimbursed them. I see this place as a den of thieves. Have a fantastic day!

The staff have been so friendly and helpful both times my husband and I stayed here. The rooms are comfortable and pleasant, and the location is wonderful. We always plan to stay here when we visit Waseca.

We stayed here while moving into a new home, and the staff made things much easier. They were accommodating and so helpful. The room was good too. Great place.

We had a nice extended stay at American Hotel. The room was clean and had been recently updated, and Christina was attentive and amazing.
