Lyle Washington DC

We had 25 people meeting in the basement space for several days. There was a room with round tables, another with sofas and chairs, a conference room for about 20, and a kitchen area for drinks and occasional snacks. Breakfast and lunch were delicious. I love this boutique hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I liked the burled walnut Art Deco look with its cozy updates. I’d definitely stay at the Lyle again and highly recommend it for a smaller work group gathering.

This was my third stay, and I still love this hotel. I’m surprised it hasn’t made the Michelin recommendations. It has a distinct identity, and the restaurant is worth a visit. The cocktails are original and very good. The staff are friendly and professional, and the location is ideal: walkable, safe, and near lots of dining options. My room was spacious, well designed, comfortable, and had an amazing view of the Washington monument. The shower water pressure was the one downside.

I booked The Lyle for a work trip, and it’s one of my favorite hotels I’ve stayed at. The carpet was soft, the bed was comfortable, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant menu had dietary labels. Whenever I called for something, it arrived within minutes. An exceptional stay all around.

For work meetings, we used the conference space on the lower level. The man who set up breakfast, lunch, and snacks was exceptional: friendly, accommodating, kept the food and drinks plentiful, and cleared our plates quickly when we were done. The doormen were just as memorable. They helped with my luggage before I could ask, greeted me with a smile and hello whenever I came or went, and even wished me a happy birthday. I spent three nights at the Lyle on a work trip and had a stellar stay. I arrived before noon and the front desk got me into a room right away, which I really appreciated. The room was clean and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. Unlike many hotels I’ve stayed at since Covid, the Lyle offers daily housekeeping. It was a welcome surprise to come back each day to a made bed, fresh towels, and two new water bottles. The staff were friendly, the hotel was clean, and the service impressed me. I’d absolutely recommend it.
