The lobby bar is what made the visit stand out for me. Lauren, the bartender, was courteous and very attentive. She anticipated what I needed without being asked and made the place feel welcoming. I arrived by myself, and she kept me comfortable with good conversation until my friends showed up. The front desk team was warm and efficient, making check-in effortless. It’s rare for service to feel this genuine. I’d absolutely return based on this experience alone.

The area is nice, with plenty of good places to eat, and the rooms themselves are nice. The hotel was very clean too. But check-in was a mess. A big group was having individual rooms checked in by one person, while only one front desk attendant was working, and the line stretched all the way to the entrance. I’d checked in on the mobile app but still had to wait for a physical key. When we got upstairs, the key opened someone else’s room. Luckily, no one was there. We went back down and got the correct key. Our room had two king beds for up to four people, but the bathroom had only two towels. As a lifetime platinum member, I’m not sure I’d pick this AC location again.

I had a rough morning traveling to DC, and Tara at the front desk made a difference as soon as I arrived. She was professional and kind, took time to answer my questions, and gave me a little perk that helped brighten the rest of my day. Tara is a fantastic example of Marriott's above and beyond customer service, and the AC Hotel is lucky to have her. Thank you, Tara!

I was in Washington for a few days, and the stay was fine overall, but I left worried about my belongings. First, my makeup towel went missing during the stay. It wasn’t a big deal, and housekeeping told me they hadn’t seen it when I asked. After I got home, I noticed a small jewelry box was also gone, and I’m certain I’d brought it on the trip. I reported it to the hotel, but they said nothing had been found in the room. This has left me seriously concerned about the security of personal items. I strongly recommend that future guests take extra care with their belongings, and I’d like the hotel to take these reports more seriously and put better procedures in place.
