Baymont Inn & Suites Washington

The staff were friendly and answered my questions. The hotel was just off the highway, easy to get to, and close to Wal-Mart and some very nice restaurants. Our room had a balcony, so we could enjoy being outdoors without leaving it, along with a fridge, microwave, large bathroom and comfy bed. We liked ending each night with a swim and time in the hot tub.

We brought our daughters for a birthday stay so they could swim. The room was clean, but the pool and hot tub area wasn't. The floor around them was very dirty, and the two dehumidifiers there had mold on top. The hot tub was only warm, not hot, and breakfast wasn't good. I think they microwaved everything.

We were in town for my son's basketball tournament, and I accidentally booked the wrong dates, a month too far out. There was only one room left when we realized, a suite, so we took it since we were two hours from home. Even though my original booking was non-refundable, they kindly refunded me because I stayed with them anyway. Great customer service!

I was in the pool area by myself, sitting in the hot tub and singing along to non-vulgar music at a reasonable volume. It was still before the usual 10 pm quiet hours. The front desk “gentleman” with the accent, working Monday, February 2nd at 9:45 pm, stormed in and told me to be quiet, pointing at the windows above the pool and making a shushing motion like I was a child. Between his accent and the echo, I couldn't understand much of what he said. He hadn't come in or warned me before that. I'm respectful wherever I go, always saying yes ma'am or sir, and I didn't deserve to have his problems taken out on me. On my way back to my room, I asked if quiet hours before 10 were posted anywhere. He said they weren't. I told him that in my 10 years of work travel, nobody had gotten upset with me about this, and that I was disappointed in him as a person. I won't return to this location. Thanks to everyone else there who made the stay a good one.
