Laundry and detergent were available in the basement, and having a hamper in the room was handy. The staff were accommodating and willing to help with my questions and requests. My studio at Capital Hills Flats was a great fit for my first trip to DC. It was clean and modern, with a very comfortable bed, kitchenette, plenty of closet space, a good-sized bathroom with a tub, and a nice desk overlooking the cute neighborhood. The kitchenette had dishes, silverware, a Kuereg coffee machine, and more. I could walk to the Capitol and National Mall, then easily reach the museums, memorials, and monuments each day. Trader Joe’s and CVS weren't far if I needed snacks or had forgotten something, and there were local shops and boutiques along the way. I highly recommend it for a DC visit.
