Hilton Garden Inn Washington DC/U.S. Capitol

The neighborhood felt lively and clean, with a large supermarket just around the corner and the red line metro only 3-4 minutes away. We had a spacious, clean room with a king bed, mini fridge, kettle, and safe. Staff were helpful and kind. We didn’t try the breakfast or restaurant.

Dre turned a simple nightcap into one of the best parts of our trip. She greeted us at the bar with such genuine warmth, and even when it got busy, she stayed attentive and made sure we were looked after. She seemed to know what we needed before we asked, had good recommendations, and made every drink with care. We were staying at the Hilton in Washington DC, and her friendly, personal manner alongside her professionalism made the whole visit feel special. If you’re at the Hilton, stop by the bar and see Dre.

Moe at the breakfast bar and Keith from the general staff were the best parts of our stay. The rest felt pretty mediocre. Our room itself was comfortable and had what we needed, but the hotel felt cramped and awkwardly laid out. Several things seemed to be out of order, including the TV, room phone, hot tub, and pool. The pool was quite warm while the hot tub was frigid, so maybe their temperatures were switched.

The restaurant food was great, and everyone we met on staff was lovely. We also slept well, with no noise coming through at night, and the room was clean and comfortable. We were given a great room on the top floor after telling E'sete we were celebrating our engagement. She welcomed us with a care package and was happy to help with our questions. The metro station was nearby, which made getting around easy and stress free.
