The breakfast was a real highlight, with lots of good choices, and it was included in the price. We also made good use of the free laundry, refillable water stations, and complimentary coffee and tea. The staff were friendly and helpful, and arrival and departure were easy. We were three people and stayed a few days. The room had plenty of space, two comfortable beds, a microwave, a small fridge, and a TV with lots to watch. The bathroom was roomy and well lit, though bathing our child was awkward without a shower hose. Housekeeping came daily and changed the sheets regularly, but the floor could have used more thorough vacuuming, especially with a young child around. There’s also a diner on-site with good food. It’s an easy walk to the metro and many attractions, with plenty of nearby places for food, drinks, and coffee. Good value for a family, and we’d happily come back.

The staff made this stay for me. Chad helped me check in and find a secure parking spot behind the hotel, since my oversized truck wouldn’t fit in the underground garage. The front desk team was kind, called when my room was ready, suggested restaurants, and answered my questions. Alejandra, who served me breakfast at the attached Johnny Rocket each day, was friendly and did a great job. Everyone I met seemed cheerful and focused on helping guests. The hotel is about a mile north of the National Mall, close enough to walk there, with plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby. I was careful in the city, but never felt unsafe around the property or saw anything that made me uncomfortable. Breakfast was very good, and I’d recommend staying here.

The room’s cozy size worked really well for us, and the bed and pillows were great. I slept without being bothered by noise. Check-in was easy even though we arrived very early, and there was no extra fee or advance notice needed. The shower gets hot, and they provide water in the room at no charge. There were soft towels, body lotion, a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, iron, and hair dryer. If you’ve forgotten any hygiene items, the staff can provide them. Everyone we spoke with was friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the stay was.

What made the stay stand out was how smooth everything felt. We didn’t run into a single problem, and the staff were gracious, attentive, and consistently helpful. The room was immaculate, comfortable, fresh, and clearly well cared for. We’d recently stayed at another nearby Holiday Inn, so the difference was obvious from the moment we arrived at Holiday Inn Washington. We’ll absolutely return. It’s a place that gets comfort, cleanliness, and service right.

We picked this hotel for the parking on our Boston to Los Angeles road trip. The room was quiet and comfortable, and the restaurant by the entrance was really nice. The location worked well for us too. The only issue was the parking cost. We paid more than we had in New York, which felt ridiculous in our situation.
