Hotel Hive

The room was comfy, the bed was amazing, and the blankets were soft. I slept well all night, with the heating and cooling working fine. I was exhausted after my flight, so being allowed to check in much earlier than expected was a really nice surprise and helped a lot. This was a last-minute booking, and everyone I spoke with at the front desk was kind and accommodating. One thing to keep in mind: rooms downstairs get a bit noisy during the day, though that’s mentioned when booking. I like hearing life going on around me, but it may bother you if you prefer quiet. Otherwise, it was a perfect five-star stay. I’ll be back if I visit DC again. 😊😊😊

We could hear the street from our room, since the hotel is right on a corner, but barely heard anything inside, even though we were next to a door people use to access the stairwell. The room had plenty of space to move around and store our luggage for a micro hotel. After a problem with the room, we were given a complimentary drink voucher and enjoyed using it at the bar, where the bartender was just as nice. The front desk team were kind and helpful, letting us check in a few hours early so we could leave our bags and do some DC sightseeing. The gentleman helping us gave us a brochure and marked some good spots. The hotel interior was modern, clean, and open, and the hospitality really stood out. My husband and I took a chance because the price for the location seemed hard to beat, and we were glad we did. We had an amazing stay and will come back for another quick weekend getaway.

We got a complimentary upgrade and were able to check in early. The front desk staff were so kind, honest, and helpful. The location is fantastic, close to georgetown, the monuments, and the foggy bottom metro station. The &pizza is delicious and very affordable for the area, so we can definitely recommend the hotel. There’s no refrigerator in the room, but you can ask the front desk for a portable one.

The rooms are tiny. You sneeze and you're in the hallway. Maybe manageable for one person, but I wouldn’t recommend one for more than that. The staff and location make up for a lot: they’re always lively, friendly, and attentive, and it’s probably one of the best spots in DC. Food, shopping, museums, everything is close, nothing more than 15 minutes away, and it’s a great area to explore on foot.
