The location made it easy to reach local restaurants and bars, as well as the walking paths by the water. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful the whole time. We really enjoyed staying here. The unit was clean and nicely decorated, with excellent kitchen and living areas. The beds were very comfortable, and having a washer and dryer was handy. Thanks for a great visit.

Little Inn on Main has become my go-to in Washington. I’ve been to Washington, NC four times since August 2025 and stayed in four different places, but this is my favorite. I’ve fallen in love with the downtown area, and the Inn is right in its heart, directly across from the waterfront. It’s decorated so cutely, and the owners think of everything. There was a bathroom nightlight, something I travel with for safety as I get older, plus K-cups, chips, and bottled water. We bring those things ourselves too, but it’s a nice extra. The showers have grab bars across the back wall, and I like that the rooms all have showers instead of tubs. My husband is disabled but mobile, so we travel with a grab bar and bathmat. The shower floor has sticky strips, but it was still slippery enough that we used our mat. There’s a small fridge with a freezer, and an ice and water machine downstairs. Golf carts are available to rent, and there’s a small event space next door. Washington gets a lot of weddings. Parking is behind the Inn. The pass is in the room and goes on your dashboard, and you need to return it before leaving. Use the space marked with your room number. We were in 203. One thing to know: first-floor rooms allow pets, while second-floor rooms don’t. We stayed upstairs. I’ve added photos of the Inn and the area.

The spot couldn’t be better, within walking distance of Main Street shops and the waterfront. Everything was above what we expected, from our time with the staff and owners to the comfortable, quiet, cozy room. The decor was beautiful and practical. We had a great stay and would definitely come again. Thanks for the hospitality.

Room 102, the “Bath Creek Room,” was dog friendly, so we could bring our fur baby along. It was clean and nicely decorated, with a very comfortable bed and a walk-in shower. There was also a coffee maker, microwave, and refrigerator. Contactless check-in was easy. We were close to the restaurants and riverfront. The nearest coffee or breakfast spot meant a somewhat longer walk to Bridge St. Still, it was an excellent stay, and we’ll return.

Room 201, the Tar River room, looked out over Main Street. It was such a cute, quaint place for our anniversary weekend, and being downtown meant we could walk everywhere. We went to restaurants, coffee shops, retail stores, and the waterfront, then caught a play at the theater just a few steps away after dinner Friday night. I highly recommend Little Inn if you’re visiting Washington NC.
