The location was excellent and very walkable, so getting around was easy. The hotel was beautiful and comfortable, and our spacious room felt more like a mini apartment. The staff were accommodating throughout, and my fiancé especially loved the stay. We were welcomed with chocolates and champagne, and the front desk team was kind from the moment we arrived. We could hear hallway conversations and doors slamming at times. Some amenities, including a microwave, cost extra, and those charges can add up. We’d hoped to try the restaurant, but it closed early on New Year’s Eve, so we missed the food. Valet is $66 a night plus tax. Nearby garages may be around $10 cheaper, and street parking is possible on weekends if you can find a space. We had a great experience, nothing major to complain about, and would absolutely stay again.

We’ve stayed at dozens of hotels during our frequent trips to DC, and AKA is the first one we want to make our regular spot. The service was unmatched. They upgraded us, left a birthday note and champagne for my husband, and room service was excellent. The accommodations felt luxurious, and the in-room breakfast was fabulous. Everyone we met was incredibly kind and thoughtful. The gym had great basics for a solid workout, too. We booked through AMEX travel and plan to come back when we visit this summer. The lobby service was wonderful, with employees opening doors, saying hello, and offering great advice. It was also easy to get to the hotel and direct drivers there. The rooms are beautiful, and the views from the windows are gorgeous. There’s a bar, restaurant, and gym, along with other great amenities. The showers look lovely but don’t have much pressure. There’s no kitchenette, so there’s no microwave, plates, or cutlery. Still, it’s a wonderful hotel.

I found it easy to relax here. The room was comfortable and thoughtfully set up, and the whole stay felt smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. The property was clean, quiet, and well maintained. Every conversation with staff was positive and professional.
