The location was the best part, with lots of sights and restaurants within walking distance and the Metro very close by. We had a great time and would choose this hotel again. The rooms are huge, and the kitchen has all the basics for making simple meals. Breakfast was plentiful and adequate, with eggs and protein alongside the usual carb options. They also stored our luggage after checkout until our flight, which was a big help.

The suites were quiet and roomy, with very comfortable beds in separate rooms and blackout curtains. The continental breakfast changed a little each day and included a hot vegetarian option. The fitness room is quite small, but it has a couple of cardio machines and some dumbbells.

The location in Foggy Bottom is convenient, around the corner from GWU and Whole Foods. Rooms have kitchens and plenty of space, and they’re comfortable, though they need updating. Check-in and food service were great, but checkout wasn’t. The elevators are very slow, and the keycard requirement is annoyingly difficult and slow to use. It seems unnecessary when someone is always at the front desk for security. I brought it up at checkout, and the gentleman just stared at me like I was a moron. Even with that, it was a great stay, and I’ll come back.

It felt more like a Motel 6 than a Marriott. Service was just so-so, and Mr Crocker, the front desk supervisor, was condescending. Breakfast was powdered eggs and boiled sausage. The coffee was good.

The hotel is in a nice area close to GWU and just around the corner from the Metro. We stayed in room 902 over MLK weekend. The breakfast spread was nice, though I wish they’d had biscuits too.
