The Churchill Hotel near Embassy Row

Deborah made a huge difference to my stay. Her warmth, professionalism, and willingness to help made everything smooth and enjoyable, and it was truly the best hotel service I’ve ever had. The Churchill is spotless and beautifully maintained, with rooms that are surprisingly spacious and comfortable. The location is perfect, close to everything I needed and easy to get around from. I highly recommend it and will absolutely stay again.

The concierge, Deborah Lofgren, was AMAZING from the moment I walked in. My room was spacious and clean, and the shower pressure was GREAT. The hotel is conveniently located and the staff are very accommodating. They really made my stay enjoyable, so I give it five stars. If you’re coming to Washington DC, I recommend the Churchill Hotel and suggest asking for Ms Lofgren.

The staff were very nice and helpful, and the hotel itself was very nice. There was a toilet issue, but they were open to any option that would make me feel welcome. I didn’t want to switch rooms, so they fixed it right there. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and no one knocked while I had the do not disturb sign up. Housekeeping saw me leaving and asked if I wanted the room cleaned. I had could shipments, and they handled them very well.

I’ve stayed here twice now and would happily come back for a third visit. It’s a lovely historic property in one of DC’s best neighborhoods, with shops and restaurants an easy walk south along Connecticut. Check-in was welcoming, and my room was clean and comfortable, with a good-sized bathroom, plenty of towels, and a fridge if you need one. Lavazza coffee is available in the room and in the lobby from 7 to 10am. Street parking was convenient and free from Saturday into Sunday, though pay attention to the signs. The $30 amenity fee felt fair for what I got. The walls are thin, so you may hear neighbors, and some doors shut pretty loudly, though that’s down to the guests.
