The location puts you right by Georgetown’s market, great restaurants, and Waterfront Park, and the hotel has a lot of charm. I loved its cozy, intimate feel. The old 1930s industrial incinerator still has its huge 130-foot red brick chimney and original steel beams, which give the place real character. A lovely boutique-style hotel with great amenities and staff who make you feel at home.

The food was the highlight for us. Chef David’s dishes were beautifully presented, full of flavor, and made with fresh ingredients. It was a special meal, even by Ritz-Carlton standards. The hotel itself pairs its historic character with the service and amenities you expect from a Ritz-Carlton, and everything felt comfortable and considered from the moment we arrived. A distinctive, memorable stay in Washington, DC.

Attentive service and a really intimate atmosphere. The converted building has a somewhat quirky layout, and it’s quite small, which adds to the character. There’s a nice mix of brick and modern art, and the property sits on a convenient side street.

The room had a great floor plan and was really spacious. When I arrived for my 24-hour visit to Washington, DC, they greeted me at the door with champagne. The staff were warm, welcoming, and hospitable, and dinner at the restaurant was commendable.

I’ve stayed here a couple of times, and it’s my favorite spot in Georgetown. The lobby lounge and the bar and restaurant are both great. Since I live in the DC-Metro Area, it’s an ideal place for a retreat. Any local guide would be remiss to leave out what I think is Georgetown’s best place. I’ve heard the rooftop at the Rosewood is great, but I still prefer the Ritz in Georgetown.
