I’ve stayed in 2 star hotels nicer than this so-called “4star” place. I’ve never paid so much to check myself in and then be hit with so many facility fees. What are they for? There’s no coffee or breakfast, barely any parking, and no suitable fridge or dresser in the room. Sure, it has LED lights, but the TV isn’t modernized. The shower and floor were dirty when I arrived, and so were the halls. The website says “complimentary WiFi,” but when I asked what the fees were for, they listed “the WiFi.” That sounds like false advertising to me. The garage sign said $60 for in and out, but I was charged $120. The desk didn’t confirm the price when signing me up. If I’d known, I would’ve declined, since the sign said $60. This was the worst hotel I’ve stayed at, and I’m very disappointed given the area.

The room was exceptionally clean, the rate was good, and getting to the monuments and Union Station was convenient. But the walls were so thin I could hear the person next door opening and closing their blinds, and there was no coffee anywhere in the hotel, not even the lobby. The bathroom's shortened glass door leaves the toilet exposed to the rest of the room, too. And you're right beside a fire station. If that setup sounds appealing, Yotel in Washington, DC is for you. Otherwise, the lack of coffee and noise were unacceptable. They should provide earplugs and a noise machine.

This was my favorite of the three times I've stayed at Yotel. The lobby, downstairs bathroom, and room were spotless, and the whole place had a refreshing, welcoming feel. Everyone was friendly and ready to help. The location and price are hard to beat. Looking forward to coming back!

I gave them two months' notice that I needed to change my stay dates, but they wouldn't make the adjustment. I was told to book the new dates and pay again, while giving up the money I'd already paid. I've never run into that with a hotel. The low rates may draw you in, but then come extra fees and no flexibility unless you're willing to lose your money. From what other reviews say, this isn't an isolated concern, and the hotel seems willing to lose customers over it. There are plenty of other hotels around Capitol Hill, so I'd book somewhere else and avoid Yotel. UPDATE: Matt, the third party booking site said they would modify the reservation and called you to make the change, but you refused. I have emails proving that. You lied. You could have made the accommodation, kept a customer, and avoided another bad review, but chose not to. Leadership is what makes or breaks a place, and the hotel's terrible ratings make it clear that yours has failed. Good day.

On our first trip to Washington, DC, Bonji was a highlight. He greeted us with a big smile, stayed attentive and helpful, and checked in to see if we needed anything. His recommendations for places to visit were great. The room was clean and well maintained, and the woman at the bar was amazing. Honestly, I've never had better coffee. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back. I'd recommend this place.
