Royal Inn Motel

The room was comfortable, clean, and nice, and the person at check-in was friendly. I got through check-in quickly and was on my way to the room in no time. The Wi-Fi connected, but there was almost never any internet, which made it tough to get work done. I switched to my hotspot and managed. I'd stay here again without hesitation.

There was plenty of parking on site, and the area felt safe and clean. My room was spotless, with clean linens and comfortable mattresses. The carpet, sink, toilet, and TV console were all very clean. There was good lighting, curtains that blocked the morning sun, and a door that shut properly. Soap and hand and bath towels were provided. I didn't see any bugs, apart from a fly I let in. I had booked a queen room, but it wasn't available at check-in. The owner handled things well, and I accepted a double instead. The room smelled a little musty, probably from running the AC with the windows shut. I opened the window for 15 minutes, then turned the AC back on and the smell cleared up. Some reviews were very positive and others very negative. This isn't the Ritz Carlton, and at this price I wasn't expecting that. If you keep in mind that you get what you pay for, this little place offers good value.

The TV had Cartoon Network, Bet, and E! The room was in truly pristine condition, and I had an amazing stay. No exaggeration, I had a great time here.

I've stayed at this inn several times, and it keeps being a pleasant place to stay. The rooms have been consistently very clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It's become my go-to in Watertown. The price is very good too, which is always a big plus.
