This used to be our family's favorite hotel. We'd have birthdays and holidays here, and even planned to spend Christmas this year. We booked one of the most expensive rooms, an apartment with its own entrance and area, weeks ahead around Thanksgiving, so we'd have a private space for celebrating. When we arrived, they said that room wasn't available and that they were supposed to call us but forgot. Instead, they put us in a top-floor room and a connecting room. The suite smelled musty, there was a rotten grape on the floor by the kids' bed, and the TV cords were unplugged, tangled together, and tucked behind the TV. The master bedroom door wouldn't latch or lock, and neither balcony door would lock. I wasn't happy being charged for the apartment, and asked to speak with the manager about a bigger discount. I was told the manager wouldn't call me back, and that they'd charge for the apartment for our stay instead of charging us for both rooms. I wasn't satisfied and asked again for a further discount. They said they'd speak to the manager and get back to me. Since it was Christmas Eve and Christmas was the next day, I suggested picking it back up Friday. Nobody contacted me again. The bill had no additional discount, which is fine, but instead of charging for the extra room they seemed to add fees to the other room to make up the difference. We're going to find another favorite hotel in the Watford area. I hope this helps others looking for a place.

The hotel is beautiful, and the pool kept my kids busy during our hockey weekend. There were five of us, and the front desk woman let me look at the rooms so I could choose. We went with the king suite, which was amazing, with enough space for everyone, a huge bathroom, and a full kitchen.

I just got here to visit my husband, and I'm impressed. The staff are amazing, and the cabins are adorable, roomy, and well kept. My husband travels for work and has stayed in lots of places, but he loves it here.

The staff are super friendly and helpful, and the cabins are spacious, in great shape, and well kept when they get cleaned. I'd give five stars if my husband's cabin hadn't been missed so many times on the cleaning schedule. Service is only once a week, so skipping it isn't okay. One miss is an oversight, but several times is not cool. My only other complaint is the mattresses. They must be from when the place first opened, and they're terrible. It feels like I've slept on the floor. Oddly, my husband loves them, and that's what matters since I'm just visiting. He could probably sleep on a floor anyway.

Housekeeping deserves major appreciation, and the water was hot. The room was much cleaner than I expected. I wiped all the surfaces with several antibacterial wipes, and they were still completely white afterward. The place was really loud, though. I was right by the ice machine, and with people working at all hours because of the location, I kept waking every twenty minutes. Not anyone's fault, just unpleasant.
