We were in town for just one night, but now we’re already hoping to come back soon and stay longer. The bed was so comfortable we didn’t want to leave it, though breakfast gave us a good reason to get up. Everything tasted fresh and delicious, and Brian was a pleasure to talk with. His pride in the inn really added something to the stay. The whole place felt welcoming and impeccably clean. Check-in was easy and flexible, and there are so many cute restaurants, shops, parks, and attractions within walking distance. I’ll be telling people about the Blackberry Inn until our next visit.
The Blackberry Inn is in a lovely spot and makes a fantastic B&B. My wife and I stayed a couple of nights while visiting vineyards and wineries in north Georgia. Highly recommend.
We got coupons for breakfast at the local cafe they own, a few blocks from the house. At the house, I wasn’t a fan of the paper coffee cups. The location was great and the house was very clean. Our room was nice, though its bathroom was tiny and the barn door was a little tricky to shut.
We spent three nights here in October on a trip to Watkins Glen and Ithaca for fall colors, hiking, parks, and waterfalls. David and Brian are so friendly, and they’ve created a lovely atmosphere. They clearly take pride in their B&B. The house and rooms are cozy, and it’s a great base for visiting the area. For breakfast, you can eat downstairs at the time you’re assigned or walk a couple of blocks to their BlackBerry Inn Kitchen on Franklin Ave. The bagels are delicious, real NY style, and absolutely don’t disappoint. It’s a very popular morning spot, and you can see why.
Brian made our first B&B stay feel memorable. He welcomed us warmly, made us feel at home, and was a joy to talk with. His local food and winery recommendations were great, and it’s clear he cares about helping guests have a good time both at the Inn and around Watkins Glen. Breakfast was phenomenal, with a nice mix of sweet and savory food. The quiche and blueberry muffins were standouts. The Blackberry Inn itself is beautiful, updated with modern amenities while keeping its historic character. Our room was bright, spacious, and spotless, as was the bathroom. It’s on a quiet residential street but only a short walk from downtown and close to where our trolley tour picked us up. We’re already looking forward to coming back, and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Watkins Glen.
