The Mill Hotel

I was just passing through and needed somewhere to sleep for the night. A few minutes after booking online, I had access to the room, which was really convenient. The common area at the entrance felt cozy, with couches and a fireplace. I chose the cheapest room, which has a detached bathroom. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and there was a nice big TV. Getting to the bathroom in the middle of the night was a little inconvenient, but not a big deal. The door has a code, so I don't think other guests can access it. The location is a big plus, right in the middle of town and within walking distance of local businesses.

The cafe downstairs was a bonus, with wonderful food, service, pastries, and drinks. The room was quiet until the coffee shop opened in the morning, which worked perfectly with my plan to get up and go. It was serene, with a gorgeous, comfortable bed and linens. When I called with a question, I got an answer and service right away. What a treasure of a place. I'm completely charmed and will definitely stay again next time I'm in town.

We got married across the street at the Landing at the Lone Girl, so being right by our venue made The Mill perfect for the weekend. The room was great, and it was nice to grab something to eat downstairs during the day. We'll definitely be back!

The electronic check-in and communication were very efficient, and the rooms are clean and make good use of the space. I'd recommend the place, with only a few minor suggestions. The pillows were very flat and uncomfortable, so better ones would help. Cleaning service isn't provided during your stay, so plan ahead if you'll need more toilet paper, since there's only one spare roll in the drawer. The towels were okay, but a king room needs two hand towels. I'd also suggest blinds that block the business lights next door better, including shorter ones over the A/C and heater fan.
