After a long day in Yosemite Valley, it was lovely to shower and unwind by the fireplace. This cabin in Wawona is perfect for a couple and close to the valley. There's a separate bedroom with a huge bed, a roomy living room, a fireplace, and a nice dining area. The kitchen has what you need, and the bathroom is spacious with a new shower. Out on the large terrace, there are deck chairs, a barbecue, and lots of room. It's an amazing place, and I'd happily return.

The cabin was spotless, set in nature, and close to Yosemite Valley. I had fun lighting my own fire and watching deer and squirrels through the windows. No bear, though!

The office staff were really helpful with park orientation and nearby hikes. Chilnualna Falls Trail was so close that we should've walked to the trailhead. We stayed at Cedar lodge after a weekend in Big Sur running the marathon, and the cabin was very clean, from the sheets and kitchen to the bathroom and deck. The kitchen had plenty of pots and pans. Bring cooking oil, butter or olive oil, and any spices you like. There was salt and pepper, but it's safer to bring your own. Plastic wrap, beeswax paper, or foil would also be useful for leftovers.
