Best Western Plus Waxahachie Inn & Suites

Room 216 was supposed to be non-smoking, but it had a heavy cigarette and weed smell as soon as we walked in. The whole room smelled awful, almost like dirt or cleaning products, and I couldn’t tell what was causing it. The place also felt very outdated. The beds were terribly uncomfortable, and there was mold throughout the bathroom, including above the shower, on the ceiling, around the sink, and over the door. It was a waste of money. The location may be convenient, but I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it to families looking for a comfortable, mold-free room.

The hotel was really quiet, even with a huge wedding party right below our room. We slept comfortably, though the beds were on the stiff side, which might suit some people better than others. The place was very clean and breakfast was great. It worked well for what we needed, and when we’re back in Waxahachie, we’ll stay here again. Thanks Best Western!!

The room was filthy during our weekend wedding stay. There were used Q Tips on the floor, spots on the sheets, and mold marks on the door frames. I have family who work in hotel management, so this was especially disappointing. I know corporate might blame housekeeping, but housekeeping can’t fix mold or a lack of resources for keeping rooms clean. I won’t stay here again.

The room itself was fine, but the entire third floor reeked of cigarettes and weed, as if someone were smoking right there in the hallway. The front desk didn’t seem concerned. They had something plugged into the hallway wall to cover the smell, but it barely helped. Other reviews make this sound like a major ongoing problem. It sure seems like they don’t care.
