The breakfast was awful when we left on Saturday: no proper breakfast, just cold toast and runny eggs that couldn’t be eaten. Everyone sent their food back. The supposed restaurant was only somewhere to sit, with no food available. The room layout felt hazardous. Several doors swung out and blocked the way, including a bathroom door that wouldn’t stay open. The shelving used as dressers had broad doors that made it hard to move around. Water from the shower and bathroom faucets came out scalding hot and burned immediately, without warning. There was no slip protection in the tub, so we put a towel down to keep from falling. Lighting was poor, and the shades looked like they belonged in the 1960s. This was one of the worst hotels we’ve stayed in, and it felt dangerous as well as old. Front desk and other staff were Indian, spoke little English, and seemed unfamiliar with the hotel and nearby area. I’d tell anyone considering it to go somewhere else, fast.

Jessica was great to work with on our wedding room block for August. She was responsive, helpful, and accommodating. Since she left and new staff took over, though, it’s been hard to get anyone to respond about the block. We booked enough rooms to qualify for the transportation credit in our contract. Five months on, after several calls and emails, that promised credit still hasn’t come through.

Room was clean, and it worked fine for a short work trip. It got a little noisy with lots of kids staying there, though it wasn’t too bad. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. Just an okay place.

I’m visiting my sister and her husband and was really impressed by the facilities and management. Reception felt a little frosty, though. They could smile more!
