Worst hotel ever. We booked two rooms for two nights for a Valentine’s dinner with my wife and my best friend and his wife. The first room smelled like raw sewage, so they moved us. Then we found out the hotel had no hot water. Around 11 Saturday morning it still wasn’t working. It came back, sort of, at about 5:30 that evening. After dinner we returned to find there was no elevator, no hot water and no AC.

I booked a King Suite early through the hotel’s own site at a competitive “early bird” rate, expecting check-in to go smoothly. Instead, at 8:00 AM on check-in day, while I was at work, they left a voicemail saying they’d overbooked the suite. Even though I booked directly, the staff said they couldn’t tell how the system had allowed it, which felt like deflecting responsibility. Their first offer was a sister property three minutes away for nearly twice my rate. When I called back, they offered a standard room at the same price as my suite. With so little notice, that felt like an ultimatum more than an accommodation, and I had no real choice but to accept. The room was in poor shape. It was dim and cavernous, with only one working lamp. The armchair was grimy and collapsed in the middle, so it couldn’t be used. The whole place felt neglected and overdue for renovation and basic upkeep. It’s rare for both reservations and housekeeping to fail so badly. If you want reliable service and a sanitary room, look elsewhere. I’m staying there tonight, 4/4/26, and unfortunately didn’t write down the name of the staff member I spoke to on the phone.

They’re remodeling the hotel, and the lobby looks fantastic, but room 219 was pretty beat up. The floor sloped so much that drawers in the nightstands and desk wouldn’t stay shut. The furniture was worn, and the wall was crumbling beneath the very loud AC unit. On the good side, the bed was comfy, they gave us free cookies at check-in, and the desk manager was welcoming. The location is hard to beat, with restaurants and a bowling alley nearby. I’ll wait for the rooms to be remodeled before staying again.

I only stayed one night, from January 15 to January 16, 2026. I booked that morning and checked in the same evening, using my Diamond Elite benefits. The welcome was smooth, and the front desk recognized my status and thanked me for my loyalty. They upgraded me from a 1 King Bed Standard to a 1 King Bed Standard with a Sofa Bed. It wasn’t a suite, but the extra sofa made the room more comfortable. The hotel felt spacious, the floors smelled fresh and clean, and the room and bathroom were very clean. The bed and pillows were soft and comfortable. The carpet looked old and might not be great for walking barefoot, but it had no musty smell, just signs of age. I didn’t try breakfast because I woke up too late. The room was very quiet, with barely any noise from other rooms; I only occasionally heard people in the hall or doors closing. It was a restful stay, and the price was reasonable for the quality. I’m surprised the hotel has relatively low scores on some review sites, since my experience beat many places with much higher ratings. If there were problems before, they may have been fixed. I didn’t find anything that needed improvement, and I’d stay again without hesitation.
