The rooms were spacious and nicely decorated, and the fitness room was well equipped. We really liked the free breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful, and downstairs there were comfortable seating areas where we could gather with friends.

The staff handled a tornado warning smoothly, and we waited it out in the lobby. They were friendly throughout. We stayed here the night before a cruise, and getting to Galveston was quick and easy. Breakfast was fine, and the lobby games seemed to make it popular with families. It was busier than a Hampton, but still enjoyable. Also, the bathroom had a regular hinged door, not one of those silly barn doors. Nice little hotel in a great spot. I’d stay again.

Shopping and restaurants nearby are the main plus, but parking is very limited. This was my second visit while in Houston and will be my last. The rooms are small, probably OK for one person. This time the bathroom sink drained slowly, and all the charging ports were slow too. Staff provided extra charging ports, but maintenance never came to check the outlets when I asked. We ended up charging our phones in the car. The stay was OK overall, but I won’t be back.

For what I paid, I felt completely cheated, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Breakfast had almost no variety, and the room was noticeably small. The pillows were paper-flat, the mattress too small for two adults, and the blankets had no proper covers, which felt unhygienic. There wasn’t a kettle or microwave in the room, which I’d reasonably expect at this price. The fridge barely worked, and some food we put in it went bad. There was no proper place for our clothes, so we had to live out of our bags. The AC hardly worked either, leaving the room uncomfortable most of the time. For that amount of money, I could easily have stayed somewhere much better. The stay felt like a scam.
