The Canyon Motel

We ended up having a wonderful stay in lovely Wellsboro, thanks especially to Heather and her supervisor, who I believe was named Sara. My wife and I had accidentally booked for December instead of September, and when we arrived at the end of September 2025, we had no reservation. They were pretty booked, but Heather and Sara went out of their way to find us a great place to stay and make us comfortable. They were incredibly kind and helpful. The long-term unit we stayed in was clean and cozy, like a tiny apartment, and a comfortable place to relax. Thank you so much, good people.

I'm in town from Minnesota for oilfield work, and this is a great choice if you're away from home for a month. My suite is legit, with a fireplace, kitchen, couch, and plenty of space. The beds are comfortable, there's a front porch, and the indoor pool and sauna are huge. Wellsboro always seems lively, with mom-and-pop shops, a cool diner on Main St., and a scenic small-town feel. The folks are kind, too.

The staff were kind and helpful when we needed to extend our stay, and I'd stay here again. Our room was large and very clean, with thoughtful extras like a makeup-removal cloth and microwave popcorn. The property is lovely, well maintained, and right in the heart of this adorable town.

The beds were soft and comfortable on the side away from the nightstand, but felt broken down on the other side, so they need flipping or replacing. Still, I'd stay here again and recommend it to people who aren't looking for anything bougie. The place is charming and feels right for the grand canyon area, which I only learned about a couple of months ago. It's right in the middle of Wellsboro, so we walked to dinner. Our night was quiet even though we were near the ice machine. I'd rate the room 4.5 if I could.
