Hilton Garden Inn Wenatchee

I wouldn't come back, even if the place is nice. We paid over six hundred dollars for a weekend and only discovered on arrival that parking for our vehicle cost extra. The fee was buried under an optional category and should have been included in the total. It's not that I can't afford it. It just comes across as greed, and that leaves a bad mark on the Hilton Brand. I'll try the Marriott next time, and I'll make a point of asking whether parking is included. I think this will cost them business.

Miranda made my visit memorable. She was welcoming as soon as I sat down, kept the drinks coming promptly, and knew the menu well. She clearly enjoys looking after people, and that came through in the friendly, attentive service. I had a great time at the Hilton. If you're staying there or just dropping into the bar, I'd happily recommend having Miranda make you a drink.

I assumed the front desk had forgotten my call about a missing credit card, so when I found it about ten minutes later, I figured there was no point calling back. They hadn't forgotten at all. They searched around and even checked the CCTV, which showed I'd put it in my bag. About an hour after my first call, they phoned to let me know. I apologized for the trouble and thanked them. They said they were there to serve me and thanked me for staying, and I could tell they meant it.

The common area and restaurant felt cozy when we got back from cheering on the Seattle T-birds against the nearby Wenatchee Wild. We were only there one night, meeting family, and the location worked really well for us. I wish we'd had more time to explore and try the aquatic features. The surprise was a nightly parking charge when free street parking was about 20 feet away, so that's why I landed at four stars.
