Kim was the highlight of my stay. She was helpful and hospitable the whole time, and all the staff had positive attitudes and helped my friends and me. The room was clean and breakfast was fresh. The drain had an odor, but we barely spent time in the room, so it didn’t feel worth asking to change rooms.

I’ve never been someone who leaves reviews, but my parents’ stay changed my mind. They’re an elderly couple visiting Michigan, and I picked them up this morning after they flew in last night. They’ll be in the state for a long time and had a lot of luggage. Instead of taking the elevator, they carried everything down the stairs. Lucas, the lobby housekeeper, stopped what he was doing and helped bring their bags down one at a time, then helped them get out of the hotel. They were smiling all day and couldn’t stop talking about it. Their stay was so good they asked me to write this review. True Hilton hospitality.

The location was really convenient, and I enjoyed my stay. I wish I’d packed my swimsuit for the indoor pool, and my gym shoes too, since I missed out on the awesome Spin2Cycle gym. I did have a couple of gnats flying around my room.

I won’t return. This place has gone downhill since my last visit seven months ago, and I’ve never had a worse Home2 stay in five years of staying at Hiltons across 16 states. I used to count on Home2 to be clean and fairly hygienic when I traveled, but this location is an outlier. It’s declined badly since the beginning of this year. Other reviews mentioned BED BUGS, too. During my three days there, the lobby was disgusting at all hours, with food scraps, stains, crumbs, and spilled coffee on the floor, tables, and seating. The seating area looked like a Denny’s after the Sunday church rush. Everything I touched was dirty, sticky, tacky, or streaked with residue. The hallway smelled so strongly of stale vinegar and rotting carpet that it stung my nose. Fruit fly traps and a gross, dirty drain under the ice machine seemed to be the cause, and that same sour, sick smell drifted into my room. I had to use a lot of deodorizer. The AC blew mildew-smelling air, and a mysterious brown smear on the bathtub wall was there when I went into the bathroom. There was no bath mat, and the hairdryer was broken. The bedside phone didn’t work and had sticky sauce on it. The carpet, couch, and office chair were covered in stains. The bed had no bottom plinth, and underneath it was lint, crumbs, and trash. The kitchenette had no paper towels, and the dishes all had a film on them. There was no Do Not Disturb sign. Housekeeping staff were dismissive and disheveled, and often smelled strongly of cannabis. The lack of cleanliness and care for hygiene was disgusting.
