The location is fairly handy, with the highway about a minute away, and parking on site costs $10 per night. There are a couple of positives too: the views are nice in good weather, and the pool and hot tub are decent, though both look quite worn. Beyond that, this place feels neglected and badly dated. Dust covered every surface, and after our first night our son was sneezing nonstop. I usually don't fuss over dust, but this was extreme. The bathroom ventilation exhaust was especially telling. I used expiring upgrade certificates for a “Lounge level” room, even though we already have lounge access as Marriott Platinum members. I hoped to stay on the lounge floor, but we were assigned the 11th floor while the lounge is on the 16th, so the certificates were wasted. The lounge itself was disappointing: you can get water or soda any time, but there’s no coffee machine, snacks, or cookies. Breakfast is served in the restaurant downstairs anyway, and apparently alcohol is only available on weekdays and has to be bought. The view was the only good part of the lounge. Breakfast was another letdown. Residence Inn has a better range of hot buffet items. Despite the generally good ratings and reviews, our stay was a disaster.

The staff made this stay feel effortless. Tyrah and Lae’l were both so kind and accommodating, and I never felt left waiting or without what I needed. I was here a few days ago for a company Christmas party, and everything went smoothly. The hotel is beautiful, with a nice bar and restaurant in the lobby. If you're reading reviews to decide where to book, I'd say give this place a try!

Tyrah at the Front Desk really went out of her way for us. We thought we might have left a belonging at our previous hotel, and she personally called them to make sure it was kept safe for pickup. Alisca also deserves thanks for the warm hospitality and excellent service. Our room at Marriott Philadelphia West was spacious and comfortable, and the location worked perfectly for avoiding heavy traffic. The breakfast staff were very friendly too. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend the hotel.

Jermaine at the front desk was especially friendly, and the staff overall were unbelievably kind. The hotel was clean and well appointed. It’s close enough to both the city and the suburbs for visiting family or getting to a work event. Parking was readily available, and there was plenty to do a short drive away.

The property is nice and clean, and the front desk staff are great. This was my second stay, and I’ll probably return. My one issue was that my Bonvoy profile preferences and the message I sent before arriving about needing a feather free room weren't followed. I was still assigned a regular room. I hope they get it right next time.
