The Mountaineer Inn was comfortable and welcoming, and made a peaceful place to stay. Good restaurants are only a few minutes away, so it was an easy base for trying the local food.

Awful!! The room was tiny, dark, and honestly scary. It reminded me of The Bates hotel, and the online pictures LIE!!! I never saw an employee except a maintenance person painting. He did help a woman get into her room after waiting. Pay a little more for somewhere safe and clean. I'll never book through Expedia again.

The room and shared spaces were clean and looked after, and my view was of the lovely back lawn and mountains. The woman at the front desk was friendly and helpful, and pointed me toward the hiking adventure I wanted. I loved my stay and can't wait to return!

We slept well, and the room was spotless with brand new bathroom fixtures and amenities. Our one-night stay was really nice, and being so close to Mt Snow worked great for a quick ski trip. The room with two double beds was small, with little space around them. There were large shared areas on two levels with couches and tables. I wasn't expecting breakfast, but they had a few things: yogurt parfait, bagels, hard-boiled eggs, and a nice coffee and espresso machine.

My husband has been there for five days, and they still haven't cleaned his room or replaced the towels. The only time anyone came in was to put up a scary picture, then they left everything else as it was.
