The scavenger hunt ending with such a lovely prize was a fun surprise, and we spent time admiring the beautiful costumes too. My mother and I came for a weekend to celebrate her 88th birthday, and it was a lovely way to mark it. The rooms are lovely, and the beds are luxuriously comfortable. We also enjoyed eating indoors and out on the large, lovely balcony. Kitty responded almost right away whenever we had a question, and it felt as if she were just around the corner if we needed something. There are so many sweet details throughout the house and grounds. We'll definitely stay again!

Kitty noticed so many little details that made it easy for guests to have a good time. The beds were warm and comfortable, and the treasure hunt, castle theme, and dress-up clothes with accessories were all so much fun. The house was very, very clean. We'd love to stay again!

Deer wander across the front lawn, and we even saw a big toad jump into the creek in front of the house. The place is close to everything you need. This Air B & B is incredible, with a hostess who seems to have thought of everything a traveler might need and detailed notes posted around to help.

That little treasure hunt, with clues written as child-friendly puzzles and a sweet prize at the end, was such a nice touch. I also loved the original art, the wine, the wonderful drinking water, and the excellent bed. There were even costumes for dressing up as kings and queens if we wanted. I stayed for a February weekend while teaching a writing workshop, and the Castle was a very cozy winter retreat. My room was quiet and looked out over green fields and trees. The “moat,” really a babbling brook in front of the house, made it feel private and a little magical. Inside, the plush oriental carpets and big stone fireplace in the living room immediately felt peaceful and comfortable. This unusual, very comfortable B and B was much better than the other b and bs or retreat centers in the area, probably because the Castle is a unique, beautifully restored and renovated private home. Owners Kitty and John were kind and generous. They left us in peace but were always a phone call away, and quickly did what they could to keep us comfortable, well fed, warm, and happy.

The Castle on Glen felt like stepping into a fairy tale, with every amenity we could need. We couldn't have asked for a better Airbnb experience, and hope to visit again.
