Element Fargo

The rooms have high ceilings, big windows that open, very comfortable beds and pillows, and large tiled showers behind glass doors. There's enough sound insulation that I feel comfortable staying on any floor. I sometimes hear a little from nearby rooms, but it's minimal compared with other hotels I've used. The pool, hot tub, sauna, fitness center, and free breakfast are all good. I especially like the strong coffee and the oat milk. I've stayed here often, for both short visits and longer ones, and it's my preferred hotel around Fargo, Moorhead, and West Fargo. Front desk staff have always been kind, friendly, courteous, and helpful. Laundry machines are free on every floor, but mine weren't usable because the washer smelled so bad. They don't seem to be cleaned or maintained regularly, so I went to a nearby laundromat instead. Housekeeping on longer stays has been inconsistent. They're meant to come every other day, but several times I returned between 2 and 4 PM and they still hadn't come. That wouldn't bother me as much if the service weren't advertised and expected. One checkout day, a housekeeper asked if I was done while I was carrying things out. When I said I still had a few things to get, they looked visibly frustrated, and I felt hurried even though checkout wasn't until noon. It's a great place for a shorter stay. For a longer one, the laundry problems and unpredictable housekeeping would make me think twice.

We ended up needing an unexpected overnight stay and had nothing with us. Toothbrushes and toothpaste weren't available free, but we could buy them in the market. The computers were out of order too, so I couldn't log in for work, which was unfortunate. The room was clean and spacious, and breakfast was amazing. A chef made it the way we wanted, and the yogurt bar was great. We also checked out the pool and patio, both of which looked very nice. We wished we'd brought swimsuits so we could relax in the hot tub. I'd recommend the Element brand of Marriotts.

Breakfast had a nice range of choices each morning, and the complimentary drinks at happy hour were a welcome extra. The adults-only fitness area was good too. We didn't use the pool, though the area looked nice. The hotel was very clean, with spacious modern rooms, a full kitchen, and updated bathrooms. There's no restaurant on site, but the small marketplace came in handy for snacks and drinks. I'd definitely stay again.

The rooms are spacious and nicely equipped, and there's a pleasant outdoor lounge area, a pool, and a good workout facility. Breakfast is free and felt like a real meal. Lovely hotel, I'd stay here again.
