The price was about a fifth of what I’d pay at Sunset Tower, and I got a room ten times the size. I usually stay across the street at Sunset Tower, though I’ve always noticed the Andaz. I landed a great deal on a huge one-bedroom suite and honestly wasn’t expecting much. The stay was way better than expected. Great service, room, bathroom products, bathtub, water, bed, and pillows. The lobby does look a bit dated, but for the price I was really pleased.

I stayed on the PH floor in the rockstar room for two days of work, and it was a really enjoyable stay. The room was unique and very cool, with panoramic city views that looked especially beautiful at night. The bed was super comfortable, and I liked the gym and free snacks too. This will be my go-to Hyatt in LA unless it’s too inconvenient. The staff seemed indifferent, and on Friday there was an extremely loud bass subwoofer from the club room above, around 8:30 to 10:50 pm. Neither thing made the stay less enjoyable. I’d stayed at Hotel Figueroa downtown the night before and wasn’t impressed.

The rooftop is classy, and the food and drinks are fantastic. Just know there’s a mandatory 20% gratuity plus a 3% inflation up-charge. The location is the real draw: clean and walkable, and a great midpoint for Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, and Hollywood Walk of Fame. The hotel is very nice, and the rooms are spacious, though the pocket-door bathroom and dated furniture could use an update. The front desk team was amazing, with Nate handling check-in and Juliette check-out. I’d stay here again and again.

My wife and I stayed here while visiting Hollywood and Beverly Hills, and the central location meant we walked almost everywhere. There’s so much history in the hotel, and plenty to do nearby. It’s an amazing place to stay. With so many hotels around, we’ll probably come right back here next time.

This is my favorite hotel in West Hollywood. Right on Sunset Blvd, it’s close to great spots like the Troubadour and Mel’s, with The Comedy Store immediately next door. The rooms were immaculate and relaxing, and the hotel was surprisingly quiet and comfortable for being on the Sunset Strip. Room service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the staff went above and beyond. Valet was quick and convenient too. The building feels gorgeous, posh, and upscale. My favorite part is the rooftop pool and sundeck, said to be the highest rooftop hotel pool in all of Los Angeles. I can’t recommend the Andaz enough.
