The Union Club Hotel At Purdue University, Autograph Collection

Parking was easy, and there are lots of good food options nearby. I loved the hotel’s distinctive look, somewhere between art deco and noir. The interior and rooms feel creative and unique, but still comfortable, and the beds were great. Service was good while we were there too. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting if you want an experience you won’t get at other hotels.

The service was impeccable, and everyone was super friendly. It’s a truly classy hotel within the Marriott brand, with beautiful decor and nice rooms. Staying there felt a little like being transported back in time.

The location on campus is hard to beat, close to everything, and the staff are lovely. I booked a suite, but the room was at the very end of the property, past all the other rooms, despite paying more. It doesn’t feel like it matches the price or what I expect from an Autograph property. The sofa bed is odd and very uncomfortable. The bathroom alone makes the stay less than good: there are no hooks for wet towels or washcloths, and the toilet sounds like a public restroom and can wake the dead. It’s really not conducive to sleeping if someone needs to use the facilities.

It’s not cheap, but the location and what you get felt like the right range to us. We really enjoyed our stay while my son did some college visits. This student-run hotel is immaculate, and I think I saw it was upgraded around 2020, though it looks like the work could have been done yesterday. There’s definitely a reason it’s part of the Marriott Autograph Collection. Put it on your list if you’re visiting, it’s pretty phenomenal.
